Funds supported by financial contributions
General fund offering
Cash and checks may be placed in the offering plate when it is passed during our worship services. Pew envelopes are available so that donations can be designated to a particular fund, purpose or special offering. Any undesignated offering collected at a worship service is applied to the general operating expenses of the church at the discretion of the Session.
Stewardship Campaign
Every year, the church encourages members to make an annual financial commitment to the church so that a church budget can be created that provides for the basic operational expenses of the church (missions, salaries and benefits, office supplies, insurance, utilities, building upkeep and repair, etc.). If desired, the church office will provide offering envelopes which will both serve as a reminder and will also ensure each of your donations will be properly accounted for in a year-end statement suitable for income tax purposes.
Special Funds
The Endownment Fund - is a fund from which only the interest is used to support specific programs. The intent is to grow the fund large enough over decades that the interest from it will be used to support many programs.
Scholarship Funds - Contributions to these funds are used to help the members with education expenses to further their education.
